The past few days have been quite rough. My allergies have been really intense, leading to me feeling quite ill. On top of that, I have been homesick and stressed, which has frankly made me a wreck. Since it is finally the weekend, I took the opportunity to sleep in this morning until 11! It was really amazing. I had another bank appointment at noon, to turn in the rest of my paperwork. After my bank appointment I headed to the Carrefour and bought some groceries. I returned to my apartment around 12:20 (I love how everything is so close here, takes no time at all!!) and made myself a lovely lunch.

The plate is ugly, but the food was good! |
After lunch, I headed over to Mikayla's apartment in the 1ere arrondissement. From there, we headed to Jared's apartment, which is located in the 11eme arrondissement. It was the first time we've checked out his apartment, it was lovely. We then made our way back to the 1st to go "shopping" in the center of Paris. Since it was a Saturday, and it's still tourist season, the crowds were insane! So naturally, we seeked refuge in Amorino.
However, on our walk over to gelato, we encountered many interesting sights. We first ran into Square Saint Jacques, which was a beautiful monument that we stood and admired for a bit.
While we were crossing the bridge onto the island, we encountered a wonderful street performer.
Around 4:30 or 5, we decided to go to a restaurant/bar by the name of Indiana's. It is a chain of restaurants with "Tex-Mex" food, but we went for the happy hour. Mikayla and I each got a Pina Colada, and Jared got a beer. It was a refreshing way to end our hot day in Paris.
Jared headed out after that and Mikayla and I headed back to her apartment for a while. I then decided it was wise to head back to my place before it got too dark and sketchy. It was a great day exploring the city.
